Community Tours New Breakwater Apartments at Normandy Senior Living Campus
The Normandy hosted the community on Sunday, May 20 at its newly renovated Breakwater Apartments, an independent living community on its 30-acre campus near the shores of Lake Erie.
The Open House included tours of the facility as well as refreshments and fun giveaways, such as an Apple HomePod speaker.

Breakwater offers modern 1-, 2- and 3-bedroom apartments with warm, spacious floor plans suitable to every lifestyle. In addition, it features a pub, game room, beauty salon, putting green and beautifully landscaped outdoor gardens with walking paths.
The Normandy, a Rocky River neighbor since 1967, has always had a strong commitment to the community. As a further extension of that commitment, Breakwater will open its newly renovated Avalon Hall to the public for use for meetings, lunches, brunches, social gatherings and more.
The room, which can accommodate as many as 60 people, has presentation screens and refreshments and meals for purchase. To reserve, guests should contact Tracey Swisher at 216-333-5401.
“We’re thrilled to share these latest improvements at our campus with the Rocky River community,” said Cameron Orlean, vice president of The Orlean Company. “We’re proud to open our doors to anyone who wants to be a part of our senior living community, whether it’s to live here or visit.”
The Breakwater renovations are part of a larger campus-wide project that includes the construction of Lakeside Assisted Living facility, scheduled to be completed this summer. These projects represent an investment of more than $25 million on the campus since 2013.
